A controlled handicap. The new world handicap system came in November 2020 & playing handicaps can change depending on which course you play on.

Entry to our competitions. Each week we have a competition on Wednesday & Saturday. There is also a club knockout competition.

Club Competitions

Winter Competitions – Two competitions are run from November until April. Both are Winter Leagues and are played over 9 holes. Points are awarded to the winner, down and each player’s best 10 scores are taken into account with prizes to the top 10 in each league.

Summer Competitions

Wednesday – A 9 hole stabledford competition, alternating week by week with a front or back 9 tees. Players can go out at any time during the day with members booking their own tee time.

Saturday – Played over 18 holes with a variety of formats each one is a competition in its own right. In addition, there is an order of merit competition with players receiving 20 points for winning going down to 1, and the top placed players in the order of merit final.

Club Knock Out – A knock out competition is open to all members with a competitive handicap which takes place over the summer months. The final is held in September. Early rounds are played over 9 holes with later rounds taking place over 18 holes. A plate competition is held for players eliminated in the first round.

Midweek 18 hole competition – Held once a month on a Friday is a 18 hole competition.
